20th June 2012
Buffet Divine Clarinet & Orfeo Oboe - London Launch
Venue: Howarth of London

Howarth of London are proud to host the London Launch of the new Buffet Instruments

Divine - Bb & A Clarinet

Orfeo Oboe

The Divine is made of grenadilla wood with specific upper joint Green Line tone-hole slots eliminating air leaks on tone-holes most prone to crack. The carbon wire (a Buffet Crampon patent), which replaces the metal rings, makes the clarinet 60 grams lighter and thus contributes to its exceptional balance with greater vibration and freer blowing.
The Orfeo unites modern materials of utmost reliability with the handcrafted, traditional quality of its manufacture. Without question, the Green LinE material has been used to its maximum technical capacities.

Howarth of London shall have stock instruments for you to try in store!
The Buffet Divine designer shall be here to answer your questions on the day!

Sunday 1st July
Gloucestershire Double Reed Day
Venue: Pates Grammar School, Cheltenham

This fun Double Reed Day has been running since 1980, and this year is being organised by Caron de Burgh, Peter Kerr and Fiona Beck. There are a range of performances and workshops - reed-making, Alexander technique, chamber music coaching etc. The tutors are Peter Harrison (bassoon) and Liz Fyfe (oboe), both respected players and teachers.

We will also be taking a stand with oboes, bassoons and accessories for both. If you have any special requests for items for me to include, please contact me directly on will@howarth.uk.com or 01903 239219.
